This page explains what our website stores in your browser and how you can control it. The short version: we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and analytics loads only if you agree.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, work in a comparable way. In this policy, we use "cookies" to cover both.
What we store
Strictly necessary and functional storage
The site saves two values in your browser's local storage:
- Consent choice. Records whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not ask you again on every page.
- Theme preference. Remembers whether you prefer the light or dark theme.
These values stay on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else and are not used to track you. Because they are needed for the site to work as you expect, they do not require consent.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled, we use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia, EU) to see aggregated statistics about how the site is used, such as page views and referring sites. Plausible does not set cookies and does not identify individual visitors.
We still treat analytics as optional. The Plausible script loads only after you choose to allow it in our consent banner. If you decline or ignore the banner, it does not load. Analytics is currently switched off, so the site shows no banner and loads no analytics script.
Third-party services on forms
When the online contact form or the Labs waitlist is enabled, it uses Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.) to protect against spam. Turnstile processes technical data from your browser to tell humans from bots and may use storage strictly needed for that check. It does not serve advertising.
When the online form is enabled, submissions are sent to Formspree (Formspree, Inc., USA), which delivers them to us by email. Details are in our privacy policy.
What we do not use
- No advertising cookies.
- No social media tracking pixels.
- No cross-site tracking or profiling.
Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops analytics from loading on future page views.
You can also clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings. If you do, the site will show the consent banner again and forget your theme preference.
